The tribe Eeva was born and raised in, deliberately chose to stay hidden in the mountains, going so far as to merge with another on the other side of the Skatay range to ensure they would never be touched by Garlemald's ambition. Always a sensitive child with a natural talent for healing and medicine, Eeva felt guilt at leaving the world to it's fate. The occasional news that reached them of villages destroyed or taken over, the death and injured, pushed her to make a stand against her sisters, chosing to leave the safety of all she'd known, intent on doing her part to help those in need.Through her initial travels, moving briefly through Othard and then Kugane, the Veena learned quickly that large, bustling cities were not to her liking. The noise, smells and sights were overwhelming, and while she managed to get by, it was the closest she had ever been to miserable in her life.While in the markets, she caught wind of the White Mage Guild, a group of travellers were discussing a recent jaunt through Eorzea and biting back her nerves, she questioned them on the details, gaining enough knowledge that she finally knew where she wanted to be.Eeva journeyed to Eorzea, unable to leave Limsa Lominsa quick enough, being far to crowded and noisy for her liking.

As a conjurer, she was unable to join the guild fully and thus she strove to prove herself to them, honing and strengthening her skills in healing, making friends with the Wood Wailers, offering her services as a healer for patrols and offensives against the Ixal. While it took her no small amount of patience and endless persistance, eventually she was entrusted with the ability to become a White Mage, receiving a job stone of her own.That was how the Veena spent a handful of years, finding friends and a home in The Shroud. The Hunter's Moon Inn and Bathhouse were where she laid her head until she managed to find a suitable place to call her own, a small cottage a stone's throw away from her friends and found family.It had all seem so perfect, until the Eorzean Alliance met the Garleans at Ghimlyt. Living in the mountains meant she'd avoided almost every trace of Garlemald's conquest, and when it came to battle, she was only familiar with what now seemed like petty skirmishes with the Ixal. Travelling with the contingent of white mages to provide healing to the wounded, she was faced with the full horrors of war.It's left an indelible mark on every part of her heart, mind and soul.
